Sony Ericsson Finally Announces Launch Date Of Xperia X1 Smartphone

Sony Ericsson Finally Announces Launch Date Of Xperia X1 Smartphone
  • Digg del.icio.us reddit Facebook
Sony Ericsson has finally declared 30th September as the official launch date for its much-touted touch screen Windows Mobile based Sony Xperia X1 smartphones, initially for the users of Germany, UK and Sweden.

Announced earlier this year, this eagerly awaited device from Sony would have a number of home screens, called “panels”, with their separate icons that allow its users to opt from any of these required panels to work with.

With the soaring success of Apple’s iPhone, Sony is also pouring a lot in offering advanced handset technology to its users, and in the same line, the company has released software development kit earlier, calling third party developers for creating varied user-oriented panels for its Xperia range.

Apart from its touch screen feature, the handset also sports a functional QWERTY keyboard and boasts of high data speed due to its HSDPA connectivity.

The company has plans to cruise its handsets in the markets of Asia, Europe and Latin America, somewhere during the final quarter of this year; however, launch dates for North America, China and Russia haven’t been declared yet.
